Minister Bruton announces 40 new jobs as Ireland’s Diona opens Global HQ in Dublin

Irish technology company Diona recruiting 40 high quality new positions following investment of $ 5.5m

Dublin, 28th April 2014:  Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD today announced 40 new jobs at Diona, the international Irish technology company.  He made the announcement at the official opening of Diona’s new global headquarters in Dublin. Already employing 90+ staff with 2013 revenues of € 6 million, the company plans to hire 40 staff in high value jobs across key areas including software engineering, services and global business support, over the next twelve to eighteen months. This project is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland.

Speaking at the opening, Minister Richard Bruton said, “Today’s announcement is testament to the thriving technology sector in Ireland and the work that has been done to boost the country’s reputation as a vibrant, innovative location from which to do business. The Government’s is committed as part of our Action Plan for Jobs to delivering the changes needed so that companies such as Diona can continue to attract investment and the talent they require to grow. In the past two years we have seen significant jobs growth in the ICT sector - an area which we have specifically targeted as part of our plans - and I am determined to ensure that with continued strong implementation of our plan we can see further increases in this area.”

Diona recently announced that it had secured a $ 5.5 million investment from the Ulster Bank Diageo venture fund, managed by Investec Ventures with co-investment from ACT Venture Capital.
