Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for developing new and maintaining existing enterprise mobile solutions that support the health & human services domain. Diona provide a range of native mobile apps for both the Android and iOS operating systems.

You must have a minimum of 3-6 years experience developing in mobile application development. Excellent problem solving, communication & interpersonal skills are required.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of native iOS and Android enterprise mobile solutions for health and human services agencies.

  • Work with business analysts and user interface designers to design highly usable, and well-engineered mobile applications.

  • Maintaining, testing and debugging existing applications.

  • Work with Technical Architects to design and implement the optimum solution.

  • Follow the project technical standards and influence other members of the team to adhere to these standards.

  • Apply industry standard design methodologies and patterns.

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • A total of 3-6 years experience in iOS and Android mobile application development is a must.

  • An aptitude for good UX design would be highly advantageous

  • Strong experience with Java, Kotlin and Android SDK.

  • Strong experience with Objective C, Swift, and iOS SDK

  • Experience with code repositories and work item handling software (e.g. github, svn).

  • Understanding of good software architecture design and scalability.

  • Ability to work well in a close team environment or on your own.

  • Ability to work creatively and analytically throughout the development cycle.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to problem solve efficiently.

  • Able to work to tight deadlines without direct supervision.

 

Educational qualification:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
